Job Summary:

The Parts Manager performs a variety of in-store customer service, sales, promoting, advertising, and stocking duties related to receiving and delivery of parts and tooling. Duties involve working in an effective and efficient manner to satisfy internal and external customer requirements as well as providing leadership and motivation to other parts team members.

Essential Functions:

  • Determine replacement parts and pricing based off catalogs, schematics, computer displays, inspection of old parts, customer’s request or customer’s description of malfunction.
  • Advise customer of proper tooling with regard to specific equipment specifications.
  • Advise technicians of proper parts for specific jobs.
  • Place specific orders for machine that are down and stock orders.
  • Taking inventory and marking and locating parts according to prearranged & progressive systems.
  • Examine parts for defects, and exchange of defective parts.
  • Receive and fill customer orders from stock when available.
  • Prepare invoices and sales receipts.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, PFW, and the internet.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in vehicle or heavy equipment parts ordering or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position is preferred.
  • Prior supervisory/management experience preferred.
