The PACE Associate Director of Center Operations (ADCO) is responsible for managing all operational aspects for multiple PACE Interdisciplinary Teams (IDT’s) to achieve optimum access to services, excellent customer service, quality, cost, and delivery performance in line with the PACE Mission, strategic goals and values, and serves as the liaison between Center and Support Service Management and leadership. This position will provide support to Center and Support Service Managers ensuring equitable distribution of resources across multiple IDT’s. Act as the lead executive for Center and Support Services, has the responsibility for a wide range of disciplines and services provided across multiple PACE IDT’s, including all administrative responsibility related to direct operation of multiple PACE IDT’s.

Schedule is Monday – Friday, working 8:00am – 5:00pm

Will travel to support both Modesto and Merced PACE Locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Supports implements and fosters a greater staff understanding of the Mission, Vision and Values of Golden Valley Health Centers Central Valley PACE.
  • Works in collaboration with PACE leadership and clinical leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of healthcare services.

  • In collaboration with the PACE Director Center of Operations develops, monitors, analyzes budgets and financial information, and utilizes all resources in an effective and economical manner.
  • Supports a culture of transparency through the development, sharing and on-going updating of data, dashboards, and reports with Center and Supportive Services Managers.
  • Ensures equitable distribution of human resources across multiple IDT’s that satisfies PACE Participant Care needs.
  • Ensures each center and support service meets regulatory guidelines at both the state and federal level.
  • Acts as Interim Manager for Centers or Supportive Services as need. This will require training and successful completion of role specific competency.
  • Serve as a liaison between center and support service management and PACE Leadership.
  • Observe each participant for any change in physical, mental, emotional and social functioning and shall report such changes to the licensed nurse.
  • Supports general PACE maintenance activities to assure compliance with patient safety, infection control, quality assurance, mandated reporting, consent, and confidentiality policies/procedures.
  • Demonstrates understanding of age-related characteristics and needs of patients served.
  • Assures compliance with policies addressing safe working conditions; monitors unsafe working conditions; recognizes inappropriate and/or ineffective patient care management, resolves issue/problem and completes written reports

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Moving, lifting or transferring patients may involve lifting or pushing greater than 30 pounds, should be done with assistance as appropriate.
  • Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry patients.
  • Must be able to hear staff/clients on the phone and those who are served in-person, and speak clearly in order to communicate information to clients and staff.
  • Must have vision with or without lenses that is adequate to read memos, a computer screen, personnel forms and clinical and administrative documents.
  • Must have high manual dexterity.
  • Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, must be able to bend, squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouching, reaching, kneeling, twisting/turning, fingering and feeling.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to biohazards, including infectious material and waste and any other conditions common in a health care environment.
  • Subject to unpleasant odors.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate, but may at times be noisy and crowded.

Education/Experience Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent social skills, professional demeanor, and leadership.

  • Proficient in MS Word & Excel.
  • Ability to motivate others and operate as an effective member of a team.

  • Meet a standardized set of competencies for the specific position description established by Central Valley PACE and approved by CMS before working independently.
  • Travel to multiple sites, as required.
  • Valid California driver’s license, vehicle insurance, reliable transportation and acceptable driving record.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare administration or related field.
  • Masters Level Education in healthcare or related field preferred.
  • Current BLS CPR Card Certified by American Heart Association
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in the geriatric health field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity in healthcare organization.
