JOB TITLE: House Manager Awake-night 11:00PM-7:30AM Full Time

REPORTS TO: Program Director

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for overall safety of residents and facility of a new residential women’s substance abuse treatment program in Dorchester. Responsible for ensuring that residents are complying to the house rules and regulations and monitoring life skills.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Ensure the safety of resident’s (physical and emotional)

* Monitor residents while taking prescribed medications.

*Hourly room checks for safety.

* Organization and cleanliness of program such as food storage areas, equipment,

refrigerators/freezers, and common areas.

* Participate in bi-weekly supervision.

* Oversee residents life skills.

* Log any incidents.

* Bi-weekly supervision

* Ensure that the program policies are followed and document any deviation of said policies.

* Perform other related task and duties as assigned by the Program Director.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Ability to stay awake over nights.

* Working knowledge of 12 Step Programs.

* If in recovery from alcohol or other substances you must have two years of continuous sobriety.

* Must meet Massachusetts CORI requirements and follow drug screening policy.

* Ability to provide crisis intervention.

* Knowledge of laws governing confidentiality and rules of ethical behavior.

DESIRED SKILLS:

* Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing techniques or desire to learn.

*CPR certified and Nasal Narcan trained

*Team player who can work well in a challenging environment

SCHEDULE:

Overnights 11:00 pm – 7:30 am Tuesday - Saturday
