Who can be a successful GS Hydro Sales Representative?

  • You have enjoyed success hunting new business from leads and prospects you generate yourself
  • You possess confident closing skills and know how and when to ask for a sale
  • You’re energized by engaging several business owners on a daily basis from a wide-variety of industries
  • You’re equally comfortable meeting with customers on-location or interacting with them virtually
  • You’ve demonstrated the ability to surpass goals and can dust yourself off after a setback

Earn base compensation in addition to commissions.

  • Representatives can expect to earn $65,000 - $90,000+

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD, 401(k) w/company match, and more from first date of hire

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, weekends as necessary


The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Outside Sales Representative who will take initiative to drive sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers, recognizing opportunity, and taking swift, smart action. Strategy, business development, and execution are key. Familiarity with hydraulic systems is preferred.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate and confirm appointments, building a consistent pipeline to meet sales objectives for new business.
  • Actively participate and provide monthly forecast and month end reports each month.
  • Organize and participate in customer meetings, customer presentations, and visits to job sites as needed.
  • Cultivate and share competitive market intelligence with business leaders.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships with customers while meeting position objectives.
  • Manage an individual pipeline and sales funnel.

Education and Experience

  • College degree with a minimum of 3 years successful outside sales experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written.
  • Acute PC skills a must.
  • Must be able to travel overnight 50% to 70% of time; or as required.
