Salary Range: $3,505 - $5,508/Monthly


Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am -5:00 pm. Temporary appointment expires on or before one-year from the date of hire; may be extended, may become permanent; non-exempt classification.


Essential Functions: Under general direction of the Director of Outreach and Recruitment Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA), the Outreach Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of the Outreach team through administrative tasks, customer service, and data management. The coordinator will: provide potential students with assistance and guidance on the College of Professional and Global Education (PaGE) programs; assist in the planning, organization, implementation, and assessment of outreach initiatives and activities; interact with a diverse group of external parties, including callers, visitors, community executives and managers, program partners, as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization; and assist Outreach and Recruitment with its coordination of meetings and activities involving prospective students, faculty, staff and industry partners. The incumbent will also coordinate strategies that assist in identifying specific target groups and target locations within the DTLA area.


Required Qualifications & Experience: Equivalent to three years of general office experience. Which included providing ongoing work coordination and/or lead responsibilities with notable accountability for the work results of support staff or unit administrative function. Must have solid skills in managing and coordinating multiple tasks and duties; excellent customer service skills, including verbal and written communication skills; ability to work well in a team-oriented environment; and ability to prioritize and work in a busy office environment and independently handle multiple activities at the same time. Must be detail oriented and accurate. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.

Desired Qualifications: Experience in higher education outreach, recruitment or admissions. Familiar with maintaining a database and or CRM application systems (such as Hubspot or Salesforce).
