Outpatient Clinician

About the Position:

Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary treatment team to create an individualized recovery experience that incorporates the body, mind and spirit of each client. Provide individual and group therapy sessions and facilitate treatment groups. Coordinate care with external providers and community resources.

Schedule:

Monday to Thursday: 9:00AM to 5:30PM

Friday: 8:00AM to 4:30PM

Your Role:

  • Comply with all federal, state and accreditation regulatory requirements.
  • Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments routinely or via intakes.
  • Review treatment prescreens records and assess appropriate level of care.
  • Reviewing client's discharge records from previous treatment providers.
  • Complete monitored urinalysis of clients, ensuring accuracy in documentation and processing of specimen.
  • Understands group dynamics/processes, facilitates groups with a focus on integrated care and documents efforts via individualized progress notes.
  • Collaborate with family members, former providers and referral sources
  • Complete comprehensive clinical utilization reviews/authorizations for services on a regular basis and communicate all Insurance needs to Utilization Review Department.
  • Create a comprehensive and collaborative wellness plan, including referrals to Family Wellness Program, Psychiatric Services, etc. Utilize identified screening/assessment tools, stage-wise interventions and treatment models. Create a plan which considers the housing and therapeutic needs of the client to sustain or continue to develop a program of recovery.
  • Wellness plans should consist of SMART goals that are measurable and achievable. Staff should utilize assessments to measure and guide wellness planning goals and progress.
  • Conduct therapeutic treatment utilizing best practices for group therapy, individual treatment, family treatment, case management and crisis intervention.
  • Maintain clinical chart via electronic medical records in accordance with agency and accreditation standards.
  • All documentation needs to be completed same day the service was given.
  • Complete comprehensive clinical utilization reviews on a regular basis and communicate all Insurance needs to Utilization Review Department.
  • Role model, explain and encourage pro-social behaviors such as: 12-step meeting etiquette, time management, appropriate language, dress and the importance of building fellowships.
  • Collaborate with Mountainside team as a whole.
  • Participate in individual and group clinical supervision.
  • Attend trainings to improve clinical skills or as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree in related field.
  • Current NY Licensure: LCSW, LMHC, and LMFT
  • Minimum two years' experience/knowledge in substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders integrated treatment preferred.
  • Previous experience working in an Outpatient setting preferred.
  • Previous experience working treating clients with SUD preferred.

Compensation:

The base annual salary for this position is $50,000 to $80,000. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
