Job Requirements/Responsibilities:
- Two years opticianry experience preferred
- Must be ABO certified or willing to obtain (within 18 months of employment)
- Optician must be able to successfully fit, adjust, repair, and sell eyewear.
- Lensometer, pupilometer, and computer skills required.
- Able to work with and understand insurance benefits and discounts for optical
- Answer phone appropriately
- Courteously greet visitors with a smile
- Able to purchase, stock, and maintain frame inventory
- Basic accounting skills - Understanding of wholesale and retail pricing
- Daily reports -- cash flow
Hours: Weekdays 8am-5pm with 1 weekly late night shift from 10am-7pm; Approx. 2 Saturdays per month from 8am-12pm; also required to attend 1 monthly evening optician meeting
This position will float between our Raymore & Harrisonville clinic.
