About Us:

CHAMPRO is a growing branded manufacturer & distributor of team sports equipment and apparel. We are privately owned and have been delivering high-value, traditional & innovative athletic equipment and apparel via outstanding, integrity-driven customer service for thirty-five years. We currently have an immediate opening for a Operations Supervisor in our 325,000 square foot distribution center, located in Bannockburn, Illinois.

Position:

The position manages the daily activities of the warehouse to provide the highest customer service by influencing the entire distribution team to do the fast-paced work required to run the distribution center as efficiently, safely and productively as possible. The Supervisor provides leadership, motivation, training, and developing of the team while also driving continuous improvement and optimization of operation

Responsibilities:

• Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities
• Managing, evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity
• Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials
• Facilitating regular safety meetings and assuring the maintenance of a safe work environment
• Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels
• Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers
• Training/Updating teammates on job functions/procedures
• Preparing and reconciling required production and inventory reports
• Cross-training employees in all warehouse operations
• Providing assistance for the Operations and/or Operations Director/Manager on special projects as required

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Understanding of shipping logistics preferred
• Previous experience in a Distribution Facility a plus
• Prioritization and problem-solving skills essential
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to effectively interact with Champro customers and teammates
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and data entry software
• Previous SAP/ WMS/ RF or related experience is preferred
• Must have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment
• Flexibility to cover any shifts as needed
• Stand-up/sit-down forklift experience with certification a must
• Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus
