AIPSO is a management organization and service provider for various insurance industry groups responsible for administering the residual market. We are a national organization that serves local customer needs. Centralization and standardization are key to many AIPSO services because of the inherent economies of scale and other efficiencies. However, our organization is based on customer focus and recognizes the need for flexibility in serving customer groups with diverse interests.
This position is located in Johnston, Rhode Island, but will manage employees in other states as well.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Education:
Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is preferred. CPCU or other insurance designations and/or additional appropriate experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience:
5 or more years’ experience in the auto insurance industry, with experience in the residual market auto industry preferred. Prior supervisory experience required. Customer service, policy processing, document/content management, and underwriting experience preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor underwriting, billing, and/or document management processes
- Manage underwriting, billing, and/or document management team workflow daily.
- Update and maintain standard operating procedures for the underwriting, billing, and/or
- Assist management in developing, managing, and controlling the annual budget.
- Maintain effective service-oriented relationships with external customers, producers, and
- Handle complex underwriting, billing and/or content management problems and inquiries
- Compile and monitor productivity and performance data for on-going evaluations. Monitor
metrics.
- Perform underwriting and billing quality control audits on a regular basis to ensure
- Supervise a team comprised of employees from multiple locations.
- Develop written procedures for staff guidelines and provide training.
