Motivate is looking for an Operations Manager to oversee a large team for our bike fleet operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in bike sharing operations and expansion throughout Chicago.

About the Role • Supervise daily operations to maximize customer experience; ensure all operations are carried out per Motivate standards • Manage a team of field bike mechanics, ensuring that bike inspection and repair goals are met and that field repairs are maximized • Manage an inventory system for bicycle parts; work directly with supply chain managers to ensure parts are ordered in a timely manner • Assist in creating and implementing processes to further increase efficiency in obtaining established goals and team management strategies About You • You have demonstrated previous experience successfully managing a people-centric operation; manufacturing, warehousing, or last-mile logistics and transportation; bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred • You lead by example, have strong communication skills, and understand how to best motivate and engage your team to success • You are a self-starter, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and apply analytics • • You are technology proficient and can quickly learn and get up to speed with different software packages and platforms, including MS Office, Slack, NetSuite, Tableau • You have knowledge of Chicago’s geography and street layout; with a valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record • You are willing to work in varying weather conditions year-round and meet the physical requirements: lift to 75 pounds, stoop, bend, and stand for extended periods of time About Motivate LLC We are the premier micromobility service operations and infrastructure experts, delivering bikeshare operations management services to many of the nation’s largest cities.
