The role of Operations Analysis & Performance (OAP) is to support this mission by providing strategic insights by first understanding business processes and then leveraging data and analytics to drive continuous improvement efforts.The Manager will lead their teams to creativelysolve operationalbusiness problems to meet customer needs.This role specifically supports the On-board Services (OBS) Catering Operations organization within In-Flight Service (IFS) division. The role requires the ability to build and influence relationships with divisional leaders, frontline employees, IT partners, and other Ops Analytics groups to generate and implement system-oriented solutions.

Responsibilities:
Lead a team of 4-5 analysts tasked with managing the data environment for IFS, developing robust data structures, data sourcing, supporting the business with automated reporting, ad-hoc data requests, and analytical projects aimed at continually improving performance.
Partner with Information Technology, Business Intelligence, and other internal Delta groups to optimize and enhance data accessibility, availability, and performance.
Analyze current process within the OBS footprint to identify constraints.
Create insightful executive-level and leader dashboards using data visualization tools.
Develop team members and create positive, dynamic, and collaborative work environment.
Build relationships with divisional leaders as well as internal and external partners to generate and implement system-oriented solutions.
Establish expectations and priorities based on value, including process and customer impact.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- 5+ years work experience in Data Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or related analytical field required.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, R, or other statistical programing languages
- Must have strong business acumen, statistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and able to manage complex processes with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thoughtfully engage and develop team members required.
- Must possess excellent written, presentation, and verbal skills, with the ability to produce concise, relevant, strategically-driven documents and presentations for senior leaders.
- Must be a strong team player, detail oriented, and perform well underpressure.
- Must convey a professional image with ability to lead, manage, and communicate to all levels within the organization, including Executive Leadership
- Ability to influence without authority and work in a matrix environmentrequired.
- Ability to effectively manage and deliver on many projects at once within strict deadlines isrequired.
- Must be able to develop a vision, strategy, and objectives for a team and motivate and lead team to accomplishobjectives.
- Experience with MS Office isrequired.
