Job Description Summary:

Provide analytical and administrative support and services for the Operations department by performing the following duties.

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Provide clear, thorough, and consistent analysis and insights into operational trends, performance, opportunities, and risks via operational metrics.
  • Enable operations leadership to make informed, data-based decisions by providing business analysis and analytical support, particularly in areas where data is difficult to assess or is unreliable and a high level of analytical skill is required.
  • Deliver KPIs goals and timely updates for KPI tracking, interacting with stakeholders to explain and resolve issues with KPIs and other data tracking.
  • Perform ad-hoc queries for complex analysis.
  • Monitor and assist with inventory management of new items and intercompany transfers.
  • Proactively contribute to the evaluation, analysis, integration, correlation and communication of available data sources such as sales analytics data, financial data, and market data.
  • Develop, automate and maintain reporting tools and databases to gain insights into daily operations.
  • Test reports and ensure data integrity with data requests from the IT group.
  • Monitor supplies, assets, and asset maintenance expenses.
  • Ensure accurate and timely safety and risk data entry.
  • Maintains warehouse and transportation department files including DOT files, random drug test files, accident reports and related files and all other miscellaneous files.
  • Manage inbound OS&D and drive resolution.
  • Lead safety committee and initiatives.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred; two years or more related experience, of which one to two years previous administrative experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database, spreadsheet and word processing software and order processing systems. Highly proficient in PC and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Power BI, etc.).
