Middle Office – Lead Portfolio Accounting Analyst

We’re seeking a talented Lead Portfolio Accounting Analyst to join our Middle Office team. This role is located in Boston, MA or Pittsburgh, PA in a Hybrid working environment.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Serves as a lead for the day-to-day operations of a Middle Office support team, ensuring the accuracy of Investment Manager Clients’ Investment Books of Record, and providing work direction and technical assistance on complex matters.
  • Regularly interacts with clients in providing consultation and resolving complex inquiries and transactions.
  • Coordinates with multiple internal & external stakeholders to deliver recommendations to complex inquiries.
  • Responsible for custodian bank reconciliation analysis (cash, asset and market value), break assignment and resolution, daily portfolio valuation processes, net asset valuation calculations (NAV), monthly accounting close processes, cash projection reports, cash management support, monthly and ad hoc reporting.
  • Sets standards for team's report output, coordinates sharing of reports to be shared with client and other stakeholders.
  • Assists in identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce audit and financial exposure and improve team efficiency.
  • Reviews work and provides guidance to less experienced team members.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • High school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Bachelor’s degree a plus,.
  • Experience in portfolio analysis or accounting support in investment operations / mutual fund industry preferred
  • 3-5 years or more total work experience. 5-7 years preferred.
  • Experience reviewing reconciliations / reporting of subordinates a plus
