Clemson University's Automotive Engineering Department is looking for an Administrative Coordinator for their CU-ICAR Campus in Greenville, SC to fulfull the following duties:

  • Serves as the Office Manager for the Automotive Engineering department, located on the CU-ICAR campus in Greenville, SC.
  • Provides administrative support to departmental faculty, staff, and students.
  • Supports faculty promotion and review activities.
  • Supports departmental hiring.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:


30% - Essential - Departmental Personnel Coordination:
Provides support to Faculty searches including tiger talent entry, coordinating candidate interviews, and acting as liaison with the committee and HR. Manages hiring requests for all TMP and Post Doc hires including centers under AuE from Tiger Talent entry to I-9. Provides support for other departmental hires as needed. Manages personnel actions for current employees as needed. Manages the visa processes for all departmental employees (including centers) to include compiling paperwork, collecting signatures, entering checks and submitting completed packets to International Services office.

25% - Essential - Faculty Promotion & Review Coordination:
Provides support to the department chair and TPR committee with TPR & PTR processes. Maintains list of department faculty with key dates, initiates & sends reminders regarding these dates. Assist TPR committee with soliciting external evaluators for tenure and promotion cases. Troubleshoot issues in Faculty Success (FS) with the FS administrators. Assist with collecting and compiling departmental faculty & metrics data for Department Chair use.

25% - Essential - Office Management & Administrative Support:
Provides support to the Department Chair and Endowed Chairs as needed including but not limited to managing calendar, coordinating travel, and reimbursements. Provides support to departmental faculty, staff, and students including but not limited to travel, reimbursements, and purchasing. Responds to general inquiries and directs them where appropriate. Manages room reservation requests. Responsible for departmental meeting minutes.

20% - Essential - Other:
Takes lead in organizing and planning the annual external advisory board meeting. Assists with planning & coordinating other departmental events as needed including industry & student visits. Owner of the departmental P-card and manages departmental shipping accounts. Supports departmental merchandise store including purchase tracking and distribution.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


Education - High School or Equivalent

Work Experience - Relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services

Standard Hrs: 37.5; Expected Salary Range ($43,000 - $54,230)

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
