Job description
Under the supervision of the Manager, performs a wide variety of medical records, switchboard, and clerical duties for the clinical staff to ensure the department is able to operate in an efficient manner. In relevant unit, accesses, organizes, maintains and retrieves manual/electronic patient medical records. Scans, indexes and completes quality assurance daily on patient medical records. Courier duties are completed daily as assigned.
Education – Graduation from High School (or GED equivalent) with commercial/business courses or equivalent required. Graduation from Medical Secretary or Medical Records course preferred.
Experience – Computer and keyboard experience required. Prior experience in medical office preferred
Licensure/Certification – N/A
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Data entry skills and proofreading required. Communication skills required
