Job Summary

The Operations Manager of Occupational Health will play a critical role in designing and operating a new Occupational Health service line at Crossover Health, and will have a unique opportunity to independently build and own a key part of Crossover’s strategy. This role will require a self-starter with expertise building and managing Occupational Health programs in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The ideal person for this role is able to use their knowledge of Occupational Health and healthcare operations to help Crossover create a new service offering and run it effectively.
Job Responsibilities
  • Design in detail the work processes, workflows, policies and job roles for delivering Occupational Health, collaborating with Medical Group leadership as necessary
  • Oversee the implementation of the Occupational Health service line, including collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed such as Project Management, Product, Technology, Legal, Human Resources, and Finance.
  • Provide ongoing leadership and management in the operations of the Occupational Health service line once launched. This would include the development of an appropriate set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that inform the business on the overall operations and financial metrics for the program.
  • Represent Occupational Health in cross-functional interactions with leadership, Medical Group, Product, Revenue, and Operations to provide updates on overall development progress and make recommendations on what is going well, what needs improvement, and where investments could be made to further enhance the overall efficiency and profitability of the program.
  • Establish and ensure adoption of procedures, policies, and documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations and internal Crossover policies
  • Identify and vet relevant vendors and technology needs and help create a robust product 3 year product roadmap for Occupational Health.
  • Develop systems and process for continuous improvement of the service line over time (e.g., performance management, benchmarking, incorporating feedback from customers)
  • Help facilitate the rollout of Occupational Health services across Crossover’s health centers including the development and delivery of relevant training for team members
  • Work in partnership with Legal and Compliance to ensure compliance with federal, state and local health privacy standards, relevant regulations (OSHA, CDC, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, HIPAA), and manage any reputational issues
Required Qualifications
  • 4 year degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in program management and operations in a healthcare setting
  • At least 4-5 years leading occupational health operations, strategies, and policies
  • Proven and referenceable experience designing and implementing programs in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Comfortable in ambiguity, and flexibility in the face of changing needs
  • Self-starter able to lead initiatives independently and push through obstacles
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage programs from conception through execution
  • Ability to effectively communicate operational workflows and processes
  • Data and measurement-driven mindset
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with clinical, legal and regulatory aspects of Occupational Health services
  • Knowledge of operational performance improvement methodologies (e.g., LEAN/Six Sigma)
  • Experience training and mentoring other team members
  • An advanced degree (MS, MBA, and/or MPH) from a recognized college or university is preferred but not required
The base pay range for this position is $120,914.00 to $139,051.00 per year. Pay range may vary depending on work location, applicable knowledge, skills, and experience. This position will be eligible for an annual bonus opportunity and comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Short- and Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off and 401K.
