Job description
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at our urgent care facility in North Adams, MA. The ideal candidate will be a licensed and certified Nurse Practitioner with experience in urgent care, emergency medicine or family practice.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the urgent care setting, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic studies.
- Prescribe medications and other therapies as appropriate for the patient's condition.
- Document all patient encounters, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care in the electronic medical record.
- Communicate with other healthcare providers, including primary care physicians, specialists, and hospital staff, as needed to coordinate care.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient education regarding their health condition, treatments, and preventive care.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Current Massachusetts NP license
- Active DEA License with no restrictions
- At least 2 years’ experience in urgent care, emergency medicine or family practice
- Current DOT certification or ability to become certified
