The Nurse Manager is the onsite manager responsible for the day-to-day operations of the offsite. The Nurse Manager reports to the Facility Physicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical oversight and guidance for nursing staff, medical assistants, etc.
  • Ensure facility compliance with current healthcare regulations.
  • Ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Establish office policies and procedures.
  • Schedule staff to meet operational requirement.
  • Supervise patient scheduling and registration.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance.
  • Hire and train clinical staff.
  • Ensure patient records are current and complete.
  • Ensure proper removal of medical waste.
  • Track equipment and supplies.
  • Oversee payroll.
  • Provide education material to patients.
  • Supervise & support the nursing staff (LPNs & MAs).
  • Set weekly schedule.
  • Receive/approve PTO request.
  • Oversee patient care.
  • Coordinate monthly staff meetings.
  • Interview new personnel.
  • Any other duties assigned.

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Current New York State license as a Nurse Practitioner or New York State License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse
  • Minimum 2 years management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records
  • Excellent communication, decision making, leadership and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations

Physical Demands:

May spend a great deal of their professional day walking, standing, moving and manipulating equipment, as well as lifting and moving objects, equipment and supplies. Ability to lift 20 pounds. Moving, lifting or transferring of patients or objects may involve lifting of up to 50 pounds, as well as assist with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds. Requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend or twist their body, as well as visual acuity.


In accordance with the New York State Department of Health (DOH) order that all hospitals and nursing homes “continuously require all covered personnel to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.” Upon receipt of a conditional job offer, candidates who are not already vaccinated must obtain the first dose of the vaccine within three (3) calendar days of job offer and must obtain any subsequent doses in accordance with the vaccine protocol. The order allows for limited medical exemptions with reasonable accommodations, consistent with applicable law.
