Upon completion of a remodel and rebranding, Hotel Solamar will become a premier Margaritaville Hotel. Located in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter, just blocks from Petco Park and the San Diego Convention Center, Margaritaville will feature 235 guest rooms as well as signature Margaritaville food and beverage concepts.
If adventure is what you seek, we can serve as your home base while you explore all that the city has to offer. For guests who prefer a little rest and relaxation, our rooftop pool deck and private cabanas await. Your getaway can be as laid-back or action-packed as you desire.
LandShark Bar & Grill will replace JSix restaurant as our 3 meal restaurant with garage style doors opening to the corners of 6th and J St. Serving guest favorites like the signature LandShark burger, fish sandwiches, tacos, and fresh salads, LandShark puts a contemporary twist on classic American beach fare. Coastal-inspired menus, live music, and views of downtown San Diego complete the breezy beach bar vibe.
Upper East Bar will become 5 o’Clock Somewhere, the largest downtown rooftop pool space with a hip lounge and dining area boasting live entertainment 5-7 days a week. The venue will feature 168 seats – 18 at the bar, and 150 seats with tables. On the poolside, there will be 42 pool chairs, including day beds and cabanas.
Margaritaville Hotel San Diego Gaslamp Quarter is scheduled to open July 2023.

Position Info
The Front Desk Agent will organize, confirm, process, and conduct all guest check-ins/check-outs, room reservations, requests, changes, and cancellations. Secure payment; verify and adjust billing. Activate and distribute room keys. Process all guest requests and relay messages. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guest service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and exceed all guest expectations.

Position Info
The Night Auditor position verifies and balances entries and records of financial transactions reported by various hotel departments during day.

Duties will include:
Follow proper audit procedures to balance the hotel's daily revenue and expense transactions.
Identify the causes of out-of-balance situations in a timely manner.
Produce various reports for management.
Take initiative to correct errors to prevent re-occurrence.
Follow the hotel's recommended guest arrival and departure procedures.
Answer guests' questions about the hotel services and amenities.

Qualifications:
  • Prior cash handling experience necessary
  • High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members
  • Read, write and speak English fluently
  • Strong computer skills
