Job description
New Outlooks, part of the Devils Lake Public school system is accepting applications for a House Manager starting in the 2023/24 school year. Applicants you should have strong work ethic and communicational skills. Have a willingness to assume direction and responsibilities with ability to work positively with students, parents and staff. Confidentiality, excellent work attendance and punctuality are mandatory.
Goal:
To provide students the type of environment that will encourage them to grow intellectually, socially and emotionally within an atmosphere of support, guidance and acceptance. The House Manager will be a resource to assist students in developing their vocational and independent living skills to help students reach their fullest potential.
Terms of Employment/Hours:
Start one week before school starts and finish one week after the last day of school.
Specific Hours: Sunday: 10:00 PM- 9:00 AM; Monday -Thursday: 3:00 PM- 9:00 AM, plus an additional 4 hours. Flexibility in hours could be considered.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:
Implement behavior management plans, independent living skills and case plans, which are developed by the Director. Attend special education unit meetings. Provide opportunities for students to attend & participate in extracurricular activities. Maintaining financial records for the residential facility. Work with direct to maintain current licensing and inspection codes. Oversee staff training requirements. General cleaning.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- at least 21 years of age
- CPR & First aid training
- Pass a state background and fingerprint clearance card search
