The Opportunity

As a New Business Representative, you will review and process new and/or renewal applications. You will follow pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the role. You will develop knowledge of company products and/or services and business systems to perform key job functions.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will develop skills to review and process new and/or renewal applications (supplemental benefits, life, annuity, etc.) through, but not limited to the following responsibilities:

• Learn to verify applications for completeness.
• Develop working knowledge of regulatory, technical and/or underwriting guidelines to assess applications for compliance.
• Comply with company and regulatory guidelines/requirements.
• Refer more complex applications to more senior level employees.
• Learn to and responds to inquiries from agents and other areas (i.e., cash processing, billing, customer service, etc.).
• Enter new applications into appropriate company systems in accordance to quantity and quality standards.
• May assist in assembling the new policy and maintaining filing systems.
• Develop working knowledge of department policies and procedures, as well as the business and organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least a high school diploma or equivalent
