Network/Data Engineer

Irving TX 75039 (will be in office 3 days a week originally then once ramped up, in office periodically; a couple times a month)

3 years+

40/hr on w2

• Performs fault, lifecycle, & change management to deliver platform technical support on a 24X7 basis to include triage, investigation and remediation of acute and chronic issues that span multiple platforms and technological environments.
• Must understand the End- to-End service to support underlying technologies.
• This position could be scheduled as a 4x10 or 5x8 work schedule.

• Nokia 7360 & 7330 & 7342 a plus
• Cisco 1100
• Getting Ciena added

Notes

• Knowledge of basic OSI (first three levels)
• Network tool exp. a plus (dispatching and ticketing systems, ServiceNow a plus)
• CCNA a plus
• Dealing with network element and customer issues
• Fault management for suspected issues
• Change management
• Put networking exp. on top of resume if have any
• Filling quickly
• Looking for local candidates
• NOC background
• Must be available for any shift – 2nd 3rd shifts typically more open

4x10 schedule

• 1st shift 7am – 6pm
• 2nd shift 11am – 10pm
• 3rd shift 8pm – 7am

5x8 work schedule

• 1st shift 6/7 am – 3pm/4pm
• 2nd shift 11 am – 8pm

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $34.72 - $40.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Network engineering: 5 years (Required)
• basic OSI (first three levels): 1 year (Required)
• NOC: 1 year (Required)
• Nokia 7360 & 7330 & 7342: 1 year (Preferred)
• Cisco 1100: 1 year (Preferred)
