Your role.
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
- Serve as a technical tax resource on Mergers and Acquisitions (“M&A”) transactions conducted by clients and private equity.
- Conduct tax structuring services for buy and sell side transactions, including determining the most optimal structure, preparation of summaries of structures, tax modeling of after-tax proceeds and incremental taxes, and review of purchase agreements.
- Conduct tax due diligence, including review of target tax returns, tax inquiries, and preparation of written tax due diligence report.
- Prepare ancillary transaction services, such as transaction costs, analysis of tax attributes, and Section 1202 studies.
- Assist engagement teams with reporting the tax aspects of transactions.
- Conduct tax research on transactional issues and monitor current developments for emerging tax issues.
- Participate in tax webinars and author tax alerts on transactional matters.
- Work to develop relationships with clients, including involvement in networking and business development activities
The qualifications.
- 2-5 years recent experience in public accounting
- Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA or Bar License required
- It is preferred that qualified individuals must either reside in or near a Plante Moran office or be willing to relocate near our Plante Moran footprint for this opportunity.
