Say hello to the team
This role sits within our National Support Line team, our objective is to provide a place for people to turn to in times of need. Originally established as part of our Coronavirus response, we provide an access point for direct support from BRC's Local Area teams for people directly affected by the crisis: this can include providing support to people who have been affected by major events, such as terrorist attacks or large scale events such as the Coronavirus pandemic national ‘lock-down’; helping people who have fled the conflict in Ukraine, seek information about the support available to them now that they have arrived in the UK, or UK hosts calling on their behalf; or listening to people who have experienced a change in life circumstances and don’t know where to turn to for the help they need.

Increasingly, we're also there to provide a listening ear to people who are lonely or struggling to cope, and we provide access to information and signposting to other services both within and external to BRC.

The Support Line's calls are managed by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who are all connected by the common goal of providing much needed support to the people in our society who need it most.

Closing date for application is 23:59 on the 2nd October 2022, with interviews to take place shortly after
