WHO YOU ARE

The National Account Manager, Retail is responsible for building, improving, and maintaining partnerships. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in the retail industry having worked in National Sales, National Account Management, or Business Development leadership roles. Experience working in sales leadership roles attending to corporate contracts is key.

WHERE YOU WILL WORK

The headquarters for The AMES Companies are located in Orlando, Florida. This position will remain remote on the US West Coast, with a priority placed for candidates based out of the Greater Seattle area.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Set and execute strategic goals that help profitably grow the company’s market share
  • Implement assortment strategies based upon the retail partner’s merchandising capabilities.
  • Plan and maintain planograms that align with retail partner strategies, managing efficiencies and maximizing space constraints through strategic in-store and on-line POS analysis and business analytics
  • Build customer relationships across all functional areas at the customer’s organization to drive forward initiatives to improve sales and profitability.
  • Focus and manage online initiatives by collaborating with the Retailer’s Omnichannel Teams to develop what is needed to drive sustainable ecommerce growth online and ecommerce-influenced growth offline (in stores).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop accurate sales forecasts and achieve specified levels of forecast accuracy. Make recommendations utilizing rate of sale and retailer promotional parameters.
  • Be an integral part of the cross-functional teams by:identifying potential areas for business growth

assisting in developing growth plans and product line reviews
providing feedback to the company from the on-going surveillance of the competition
interfacing with all functional areas within the company and the customer

  • Responsible for ensuring that specified quality standards are met for all tasks completed.POP and Literature compliance for stores and trade shows

Planogram integrity
Cross merchandising and off shelf promotional activity
Develops annual business plans
Works with Channel Manager as a liaison between Product Managers and Sales
Determines need for and manages research projects as needed
Set and execute strategic goals to increase profitably and growth in market share

REQUIREMENTS

  • 4 year Degree in a related field
  • 3-5 years of previous experience as a National Account Manager, or in an applicable role within a retail organization.
  • Proactive and results-oriented with strong organization, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of analytical sales data
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships quickly.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and demands in a fast paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel
