Eaton’s ESSG PDCAD Power Distrib Control Assy Div division is currently seeking a MVCA Customer Order Engineer.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $62250.03 - $91300.04 a year.

What you’ll do:
This position is responsible for accurately interpreting purchaser specifications and translating them into drawings and bills-of-material understandable by Manufacturing and Purchasing.
Develops a variety of complex drawings and bills-of-material based upon established product designs, which provides sufficient detail to accurately convey the purchaser’s equipment application.- Consults with plant and field sales engineers in interpreting and defining new equipment applications.
- Coordinates mechanical and electrical interfaces with other products.
- Advises C.O.D., Manufacturing and Purchasing – when required – in interpreting information for the accurate production of equipment in accordance with the purchaser’s requirements.
- Consults with the Quality Department in resolving issues after the equipment is shipped, when required.
- Directs purchaser visits to approve or release equipment.
- Conducts special development/application projects of a complex nature.
- Informs in cost and cycle time improvement activities.
- Plans travel as required to support any of the above.
- Conducts technical training seminars, as required.
- Provides technical training and guidance to department personnel.
- Analyzes needs and recommends revisions to Department Policies and Procedures.
- Other duties, projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that reside outside a 50-mile radius of Arden, NC.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical or electronics engineering technology, mechanical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, or mechatronics from an accredited institution.
- One (1) year of manufacturing experience including internships and co-op assignments.
- Knowledge of power distribution and control systems (LV and MV Switchgear, Panel boards and Switchboards, Motor Control Centers, etc.)
Skills:
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of electrical engineering
- Knowledge of design standards.
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), AutoCAD, databases
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
