Eaton’s ESSG PDCAD Power Distrib Control Assy Div division is currently seeking a MVCA Customer Order Engineer.


The expected annual salary range for this role is $62250.03 - $91300.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

This position is responsible for accurately interpreting purchaser specifications and translating them into drawings and bills-of-material understandable by Manufacturing and Purchasing.


  • Develops a variety of complex drawings and bills-of-material based upon established product designs, which provides sufficient detail to accurately convey the purchaser’s equipment application.
  • Consults with plant and field sales engineers in interpreting and defining new equipment applications.
  • Coordinates mechanical and electrical interfaces with other products.
  • Advises C.O.D., Manufacturing and Purchasing – when required – in interpreting information for the accurate production of equipment in accordance with the purchaser’s requirements.
  • Consults with the Quality Department in resolving issues after the equipment is shipped, when required.
  • Directs purchaser visits to approve or release equipment.
  • Conducts special development/application projects of a complex nature.
  • Informs in cost and cycle time improvement activities.
  • Plans travel as required to support any of the above.
  • Conducts technical training seminars, as required.
  • Provides technical training and guidance to department personnel.
  • Analyzes needs and recommends revisions to Department Policies and Procedures.
  • Other duties, projects as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that reside outside a 50-mile radius of Arden, NC.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical or electronics engineering technology, mechanical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, or mechatronics from an accredited institution.
  • One (1) year of manufacturing experience including internships and co-op assignments.
  • Knowledge of power distribution and control systems (LV and MV Switchgear, Panel boards and Switchboards, Motor Control Centers, etc.)

Skills:


  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of electrical engineering
  • Knowledge of design standards.
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), AutoCAD, databases
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
