What will you be doing?

The MRO Support Specialist will work with operating systems, accurately managing the daily support of Imperial’s MRO program. Answering general program questions and showing sound judgment in coordinating resources to resolve complex availability, ordering, invoicing, and customer issues to assist sales in meeting corporate objectives.

  • Verify accuracy of part numbers, provide inventory levels, lead times, tracking, and necessary updates regarding Grainger shipments upon request to Account Advisors, Regional Sales Managers, and National Account Executives. Coordinate returns of product.
  • Interface with systems to determine how to best service Imperial customers ordering Grainger product based on knowledge of Grainger’s standard processes. Understanding the financial and workflow implications to both Grainger and Imperial when utilizing additional resources to expedite requests.
  • Manually intervene and process orders held up from shipping and communicate to correct team members when a decision altering the value of the order is necessary. Facilitate any adjustments needed through IT.
  • Coordinate with internal and external partners to investigate and resolve invoicing discrepancies.
  • Work closely with Product Support to generate quotes, orders, and provide follow up administrative support for items not carried, as well as for direction on resolutions requiring contact with vendors or a third parties.
  • Work effectively with others in a team-based environment to accomplish organizational and department goals. Build strong relationships with Imperial and Grainger contacts and support a culture of adaptability, change management, and continuous improvement by identifying and suggesting process improvements.

What do we require?
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • One (1) year or more of previous product management, office/purchasing, customer service, or sales experience

What will put you ahead:
  • Post High School Technical School Education
  • Five (5) years or more of experience in a problem-solving customer service environment
