Position Title: Motion Graphics Designer
Location: Hoboken, NJ or Kalamazoo, MI
Reports to: Senior Manager, Post-Production

Job Summary:

Newell Brands is looking for a talented Motion Graphics Designer to help expand our creative capabilities. This role will work closely with our Video Editors, Designers and Studio Team to generate original assets for branded campaigns and eCommerce. Qualified candidates should submit their resume and digital portfolio, demonstrating strong artistic vision and technical acuity, as it relates to current design trends, relevant software, file formatting and video integration. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a team first atmosphere, is comfortable balancing multiple projects at once and able to deliver on tight deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and design high-quality custom motion graphics, animations, animated logos, video transitions, lower thirds, etc.
• Work closely with our Design teams, as well as the Studio and Category Art Directors to ensure consistent visual branding
• Work closely with our Studio Video Editor to integrate compelling motion graphics and animation for video projects
• Collaborate with the broader Studio and Category teams to conceptualize new and creative ideas for Brand Partners
• Reformat content to fit the different specs of social platforms

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of motion graphics experience
• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator)
• Familiar with Adobe Premiere Pro
• Comfortable with animation
• Understanding of typography and graphic design
• Strong interpersonal, communication and time-management skills
• Ability to work well with others and cross-functionally
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Capable of handling and organizing several projects at once
• Great attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Video editing experience
• Experience with 3D modeling, incorporating renders
• Familiar with video color correction and grading
• Experience developing motion content for consumer goods products
• Experience with sound design
