Model & Simulation System Integrator

Overview

SimTech, Inc., a 2021 and 2020 Best Places to Work Winner, is seeking an experienced candidate for a Model & Simulation System Integrator to join our growing, diverse and dynamic team in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

Candidate will support the Missile Defense Agency's Engineering Simulation program.

This position involves hands-on support for MDA's M&S software used to integrate MDS instantiations and present common consistent truth of threats and environments for testing of MDA's tactical systems.

Tasks include, installation and configuration of the simulation software, troubleshooting and root cause analysis of anomalies and defects, and the providing of technical support during various MDA activities. These tasks will primarily be performed in the local government facility but may also require support in various other CONUS and OCONUS locations. In support of these tasks, the candidate is expected to adhere to current processes and procedures, participate in document reviews, attend limited meetings, provide status as requested, and collaborate with team members in person and electronically.

The candidate is expected to be self-sufficient in the execution of these integration responsibilities within six months.

Minimum Qualifications & Education Requirements

Preferred Requirements:

BS in Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science from an accredited university and 2-8 years' experience.

Experience with hardware/software/network integration.

Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software defects.

Experience with missile defense systems, modeling and simulation, and statistical analyst

System Test requirements for verification of new capabilities. Scenario development support.

Physical Description

Employees in these positions will function in a general office/cubicle setting environment, laboratory/testing setting using standard office equipment and various electronic testing equipment, including a computer, telephone, printers, video equipment, computer software and testing equipment. Will interact in a general office setting environment with various personnel; participate in meetings and contribute to team success; deliver timely results and produce reports; receive and communicate information; may include telework. May function in a laboratory/testing environment using electronic testing equipment, computer software and complex systems. May move and test equipment of various weights. Laboratory environment may require use of protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to safety glasses and protective hearing and footwear. May be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization due to business demands; travel occasionally for assigned work.
