The Juvenile Justice Center of Philadelphia (JJC) is a non-profit, multi-service organization that serves the needs of children, youth, and families in need of services to promote healthy and productive outcomes related to their emotional, behavioral well-being, social and educational progress. Our service delivery model is to provide quality intervention and prevention services to children, youth, and families through supportive services.

JJC is looking for Mobile Therapist candidates for our Intensive Behavior Health Services (IBHS) Program. Working in the following areas: Brideburg and Frankford sections of the city (19124, 19122, 19135, and 19137 and those surrounding communities).

What you’ll be doing:

A Mobile Therapist (MT) delivers child centered, family-focused psychotherapy utilizing evidence-based modalities as described in the child’s Individual Treatment Plan (ITP). Services are delivered in the home or community setting within the Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) program. Therapy is focused on resiliency factors and connection to community-based supports as identified by the treatment team.

The MT utilizes a strengths-based approach to empower children with emotional and behavioral needs to thrive and to help the child and family reach their goals. Mobile therapy services consist of individual therapy, family therapy, development, and revision of the ITP (as needed), assistance with crisis stabilization and assistance with addressing problems the child, youth or young adult has encountered.

Qualifications

· Master’s Degree from an accredited university in a clinical mental health discipline, such as: Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Psychiatric Nursing, and Marriage and Family therapy.

· The Master’s Degree must include clinical coursework in the foundations of behavioral health and the provision of mental health services.

· Two (2) years verified experience in the mental health field, 1 of which must have been with 1-year full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults.

The position is fee-for-service (FFS). With a minimum requirement of 4 cases (approximately 8-12 hours per week based on individual recommendations). Independent work environment.
