ASE (Aftermarket Services Engineering) develops innovative repair solutions to observed and predicted distress on components of all P&W Military jet engines in order to economically return the engine to service. As the Part Family Lead, you will oversee technical aspects of repair development activities on a given set of hardware, including integration with CIPT (Component Integrated Product Team), CAIPT/LIPT (Component Aftermarket Integrated Product Team/Logistics Integrated Product Team), MCS (Military Customer Support), LPM (Logistics Program Management), and others. This role is open to any experienced candidate at PW campuses including, but not limited to Oklahoma City OK, East Hartford, CT, North Berwick, ME, West Palm Beach, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assure overall system integration of repair designs.
  • Coordinate source qualification activities.
  • Promote RDEs (Repair Development Engineers) proficiency development through formal and informal mentoring.
  • Support the customer in the resolution of field supportability issues.
  • Contribute to the creation and enhancement of engineering standard work

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science
  • 8 years’ of related experience or 5 years experience with an Advanced degree
  • US Citizenship due to government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with gas turbine engine design, development, and/or Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO).
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 3+ years’ experience.
  • Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering or technical discipline.
  • Proficiency Level 3 in a related technical discipline.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Promote teamwork.
  • Team leadership and formal customer communications.
  • Structural analysis experience or knowledge of the P&W Class II EC (Engineering Change) process, Teamcenter, or EKS
  • Manufacturing processes such as machining, blending, plating, plasma spray, shot peening, and coating removal.
