Position Overview:
The Microbiology Lab Tech is responsible for product and materials testing, trouble shooting, and implementation of the facility Micro Control Plan.
Location / Schedule:

  • Located in Cambridge, OH. Day shift working a rotating 3-2-2-3 schedule.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform microbiological testing of raw materials.
  • Assist with product, equipment, and cleaning & sanitizing validations.
  • Maintain lab equipment and calibrations.
  • Maintain the Laboratory Quality Control Systems.
  • Maintain proper documentation of results.
  • Understand and follow GMP’s.
  • Provide support to resolve nonconformance issues and identify corrective and preventative actions.
  • Support development and implement plant-wide Microbiological Control Program.
  • Trouble shoot laboratory issues and provide resolutions from audits.

What You'll Need:

  • B.S. in Microbiology or related Science.
  • Experience with basic microbiology methods and lab equipment such as pH, balances, microscope, etc.
  • Experience with general documentation practices and GMP compliance.
  • Experience with common microbiology lab instrumentation.
  • Good computer skills (i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, e-mail).
