From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only
celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.

The Cultural Experiences team is looking for a partner who is grounded in our Mission and Values and is ready to lead a team that creates and brings to life shared experiences that are uniquely Starbucks - for Starbucks and beyond!

As a mgr learning & development, you will be responsible for leading the following prioritized work:

  • Design strategic approach for culture focused experiences for partners at pivotal transitions in their Starbucks journey – instilling belief and understanding of what it means to be a partner and to lead partners while building One Starbucks Community. These experiences currently include:
  • New Partner Experience
  • New Leader Experience
  • 3Cs (coffee, culture & connections)
  • VP Immersion
  • Lead a team of partners to develop, implement & sustain cultural experiences that support achievement of business goals – while reflecting our heritage and building one Starbucks Community for the next 50 years and beyond.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure that these experiences are inclusive and integrated into the broader partner journey.

To achieve these goals, you will demonstrate the following capabilities:

  • Challenge and inspire team members to achieve goals; provide coaching, direction, and leadership to the team to achieve partner and business results
  • Understand internal and external factors that impact learning and performance in organizations; stay current on trends and anticipate opportunities to innovate and add value to the business
  • Role model cross functional partnership and vendor management in ways that uphold our Mission and Values and set the bar for collaboration at Starbucks
  • Lead through ambiguous situations with an innovative and growth mindset and keep the team focused on delivering the best solutions for our partners

We’d love to hear from people with:
  • People Management
  • Individual and organizational performance consulting
  • Implementing learning programs through multiple modalities; including virtual, hybrid and in-person
  • Building innovative learning experiences to address business objectives
