As a Mgr, Critical System you will be trusted to work on Manufacturing Production Process Engineering which focuses on designing, developing, and implementing new or revised production processes for the efficient/economical mass production of goods at our ASPEX Facility in Fort Worth, Texas.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Designing arrangement of manufacturing equipment to ensure most efficient and productive layout
- Designing the sequence of production operations, specifying procedures for the fabrication of applicable tools and equipment, and adapting machinery in response to factory conditions
- Conducting tests throughout all stages of production to determine control over applicable variables and troubleshooting/solving production problems
- Providing guidance to product design engineering on technical specifications that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques
- Ensuring that production processes and procedures follow regulations.
- Leads 24/7 engineering maintenance department supporting aseptic compounding and filling processes in a pharmaceutical environment.
- Setting strategic departmental direction including critical utilities recapitalization planning.
- Oversite of four functional sub-departments (HVAC & Water, Metrology, Reactor & Sterilization Maintenance, CAD)
- Providing direction to 15 highly skilled maintenance technicians.
- Maintenance of over 200 complex pieces of highly automated manufacturing equipment.
- Management of site wide GMP drawing program covering facilities, equipment, and processes.
- Management of site wide Calibrations program.
- Development and oversite of ~$4M departmental budget.
- Medium scale CAPEX project management and execution.
- Development and execution of continuous improvement program for compounding/filling equipment.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- 7 Years of Relevant Experience
- 5 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
- Work hours: M-F 8am-5pm
- Travel Requirements: 5%
