Responsibilities: This is a split social-emotional consultant and direct service home-based mental health therapist position creating full-time position . Under the direction of the Early Intervention Services Coordinator, will provide consultation with daycare settings and direct services to families regarding children at risk of preschool discipline, reduction in schedule or expulsion. Providing child care center and home-based interventions to work with families with children, birth to school age for consultation or through 7 years of age with home-based work, residing in the tri-county. Specific responsibilities include assessment, development of a comprehensive intervention plan to address the needs of the children and families, parent-infant therapy using the IMH model and linkage and collaboration with community human services providers. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures. Requirements: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field required. Possession of an appropriate State of Michigan credential is required within 60 days of hire. One year of experience (professional or paraprofessional) in the examination, evaluation and treatment of minors and their families required or one academic year of graduate practicum/internship experience with children and families required. Michigan Infant Mental Health Association Endorsement at Level II or III within a set timeframe (before or after hire) required or a waiver until endorsement (supervisors can assist with this requirement). Candidate will be expected to work some evening hours or hours outside of business hours to align with childcare center schedules. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use is required.

Conditional Employment Requirements: Offers for this position will be contingent upon the results a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, and to undergo and pass a Central Registry Screening, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational background check and verification of an acceptable work history. Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Salary/Hours: $56,005 - $63,570 annually with scheduled, annual increases that can result in a salary of $73,502. 40 hours per week, some evening hours.

Location: Families Forward/Early Intervention Program, Lansing, Michigan.
