Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is the largest provider of mental health services in the county. For over 50 years our organization has provided exceptional healthcare to all, but especially the uninsured, low income, and the medically underserved. The demand for mental health services in our community has increased dramatically in the years preceding the pandemic. FHCSD is grateful that we can increase access to care in San Diego, but we need strong leaders to help guide the organization. We are currently seeking a Mental Health Services Manager for the Lemon Grove Counseling Center. Responsibilities:

• Administer day-to-day operations and collaborate with department leadership to achieve organizational goals
• Build positive relationships with employees and inspire others to meet their goals
• Prepare career development plans and maintain a positive workplace
• Foster job satisfaction, seek input from staff, and pursue continuous improvement
• Collect and analyze data then prepare necessary reports for senior leadership
• Provide direct patient services as appropriate within scope of licensure
• A participate in organizational short and long-term planning
• Oversee and participate in project planning, implementation, and assessment
• Follow applicable regulatory and department standards are met
• Ensure location is well maintained and in compliance with FHCSD policies
• Work collaboratively with other managers in addressing and servicing difficult patients
• Keep mental health staff informed of counseling centers policies and procedures
• Provide treatment to assigned patients within scope of practice
• Complete all required documentation accurately and timely
• Perform initial and on-going assessments for assigned patients
• Participate in the development of individualized care plans
• Address co-occurring disorders when implementing the treatment plans
• Meet program/department productivity and quality standards
• Seek to prevent or resolve transference and countertransference issues
• Work effectively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team
• Connect patients to internal/external resources as appropriate
• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Current registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Clinical Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker
