Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical/Telemetry
Location: Hartford, CT
We are currently seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit at our hospital in Hartford, CT. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and support to our medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients with a variety of medical-surgical conditions, including post-operative care, general medical conditions, and telemetry monitoring.
- Assess and document patients' conditions, including vital signs, medication administration, and diagnostic testing results.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, identifying and responding to changes in patients' conditions.
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and self-care.
Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut RN license.
- At least one year of experience in medical-surgical and/or telemetry nursing preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Excellent critical thinking, assessment, and decision-making skills.
