Position Summary: This is a great opportunity to work in a respected practice as a Medical Scribe with on the job training provided. Successful candidate must maintain a professional image in the clinic setting and in all communications. Must be able to multi-task while maintaining good patient and staff relations along with providing outstanding customer service.

Essential Job Functions:

• Begins patient notes prior to the office visit.
• Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary technology.
• Maintains patient records and other information as requested by the physician.
• Records the office visits via electronic medical record system on behalf of physician.
• Provides courteous and friendly service to all patients and contributes to a positive work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Preferred ability to type at least 60 wpm with accuracy.
• Must be proficient on computers.
• Knowledge of medical terminology (especially Orthopedics) preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT preferred.
• Working knowledge of electronic medical records preferred.

Hours: Part time within normal business hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm Friday 8am-1pm
