The candidate selected to assume the role of a Patient Service Specialist will be part of a fast growing, highly innovative healthcare organization. Crucial Care provides non-hospital-based emergency care while creating savings and five-star patient experience. We are looking for full time Palm Harbor locations.

Position Responsibilities
A Patient Service Specialist will play a very key role in the success of the facility and the patient’s overall experience. Strict adherence to organizational Protocols and Values is a must. A Patient Service Specialist is responsible for but not limited to:

• entering new patients into the patient database
• verifying insurance
• getting authorization from insurance companies
• putting together patient charts
• scheduling patient appointments
• collecting copays and contracted rates from patients
• coordinating admissions
• auditing charts for completeness and obtaining any missing information from the clinical team

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Active BLS certification strongly preferred
• Previous patient services experience in a medical office setting preferred
• Must successfully pass a Level 2 background screen and drug test
• Able to perform the duties expected for an active role in a busy office environment (standing, walking, teaching, public speaking, pulling, pushing, lifting, etc.)
• Ability to use all necessary office equipment (faxes, copiers, computers, telephones, etc.)
• Able to stand and work up to 12-hours in a day
• Bilingual strongly preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
