This role is primarily responsible to oversee day to day operations of a busy medical office. A background in management and human resources is essential to success in this position. Duties to include:

  • Process Payroll, Maintaining PTO/Vacation records, Process Bi-Weekly Payroll Taxes
  • Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
  • Interviewing/Hiring/Onboarding of new employees
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings & terminations
  • Hold monthly office meetings with key staff to review guidelines
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Fluent use of QuickBooks and basic accounting principals
  • Ordering of office supplies and other equipment/furniture
  • Preparation of required financial reports
  • Tax filings to include 940, 941B, Annual W-2, Unemployment Taxes, etc.
  • Manage front office & billing staff
  • Work alongside all medical providers & staff to ensure compliance with programs such as CLIA, MIPS, HIPAA, and OSHA.
  • Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files, maintain group benefits database and update employee payroll records. Handle employee benefit enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, etc.
  • Coordinate with vendors, negotiate rates, and competitively shop for services.
  • Maintain and analyze health insurance contracts, provider employment contracts, fee schedules, and other business documents.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Thorough understanding of basic accounting principles & QuickBooks

· Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Word, & Excel)

· Ability to learn medical software in a timely manner

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk & working on a computer

· Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.

· Must be able to access and navigate each area of the company’s facilities

General work hours are Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm.
