Job description
We are looking for a medical receptionist and biller.
- Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.
- Optimizes patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling in-person or telephone appointments.
- Keeps appointments on schedule by notifying providers of patients’ arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.
- Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information and collecting patient charges.
- Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
- Protects patients’ rights by maintaining medical, personal, and financial information confidentiality.
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Collect delinquent accounts by establishing payment arrangements with patients, monitoring payments, and following up with patients when payment lapses occur.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
