Job Summary

• Support other members of the work team in meeting customer needs.
• Be accountable for the technical and behavioral competencies of the job.
• Responsible for processing specimens, performing tests, quality assurance, and instrument maintenance; and reporting results in the Core Lab, Microbiology, and/or Blood Bank.

Certification

Medical Laboratory Scientist certification through the ASCP or equivalent required. If new graduate certification required within 90 days.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Life Science, or related field required.
Students who have fulfilled the Bachelor’s degree requirement must also have successfully completed a NAACLS accredited MLS Program.
Experience
2 years clinical laboratory experience preferred. If the job requires driving for Parkview, the employee must have a current Colorado driver’s license, may need to be 21, and may need to submit proof of insurance coverage.
