As a Medical Assistant, you will be a member of the interdisciplinary care team at Greater Seacoast Community Health where you will work in an integrated health setting to deliver healthcare to vulnerable populations in Southeastern New Hampshire and Southern Maine. Our providers love teaching, so you will learn more in-depth procedures and can be trained in specialties such as Pediatric Care, Prenatal Care, Behavioral Healthcare, and Medication Assisted Treatment Care. We have a track record of helping Medical Assistants advance in their careers where several of our MAs have gone on to become nurses! You will also be eligible for a Sign On Bonus up to $2,500.

We are currently seeking an MA to work 40 hours per week at our Somersworth location (Goodwin Community Health, located on Rte. 108).

Job Duties:

  • Provides patient services such as chaperoning, collecting specimens and taking vital signs.
  • Facilities timely movement of patients from waiting area into exam room to see the provider as well as the timely completion of visit.
  • Prepares exam rooms for patient visits.
  • Maintains supplies and equipment for patient services.
  • Supports the patient in improving access to health resources and social services.
  • Collaborates with all members of the care team to coordinate and manage care for the patient.
  • Performs limited health screening procedures under the direction of the provider, including lab procedures.
  • Participates in preparing patient charts. As directed by the provider, assists with the patient intake and discharge procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Certification:
  • M.A. Certification and/or two-year Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Two years’ experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
  • Other: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Hours Per Week: 8:00am-5:00pm

Days: Monday through Friday

  • Two-year associate degree preferred.
  • Experience: Two years’ experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
  • Other: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Experience with electronic health records a plus.
