Busy Family Medicine practice is looking for top-notch Medical Assistants to join our team. Great environment, team, and compensation.

The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting the physician in providing superior patient care and facilitating an exceptional patient experience. Accountable for rooming the patient, taking vitals and history, informing patients of the relevant and required information, and providing clear communication around services and care. The position also requires scheduling, prescription authorizations, and administrative tasks when not with patients. Must be comfortable in the on-site and virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Rooms patients and prepares them for examination.
  • Obtains vitals, performs medical histories, provides instruction to the patient regarding medications and diet and authorizes prescription refills as directed.
  • Prepares and administers medications and vaccinations as directed by the Physician; performs basic laboratory tests, EKGs as ordered or indicated, and suture removal and dressing changes.
  • Prepares, cleans and maintains exam and treatment rooms, as well as supplies and equipment.
  • Communicates with patients about results, referrals, follow-up care in a timely manner.
  • Completes assigned administrative tasks such as scanning, checking faxes, results, re-fill requests.
  • Work on medication prior authorizations daily.
  • Monitors controls of CLIA waived tests.
  • Enters data into eClinicalWorks EHR, ensuring all communication with patient is documented.
  • Be able to manage 20-25 patients daily

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Completion of Medical Assistant coursework
  • Certified as Medical Assistant, a plus
  • 2+ years relevant work experience, Primary care or Pediatrics a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
