Mechanic

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanic to join our team at an Asian Cuisine Food
Processing Center. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of mechanical maintenance and repair, as well as Auto CAD and electrical control systems.

Responsibilities:
● Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections to optimize equipment efficiency.
● Identify and troubleshoot potential mechanical problems, and implement preventative solutions.
● Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
● Install, maintain, and repair production equipment, conveyor systems, and other machinery.
● Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
● Fabricate or modify parts using machine shop tools and equipment.
● Manage inventory of spare parts, ensuring availability and proper levels.
● Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements.
● Build relationships with vendors and suppliers for timely delivery of parts and equipment.
● Develop and maintain maintenance schedules for all equipment.
● Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
● Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and equipment and accurate records of repairs and maintenance work performed.
● Provide technical support to production and other departments.
● Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualification:
● A Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is required.
● 5+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, repair, or related fields is required.
● Experience with Auto CAD is required.
● Experience working in a food processing plant is a plus.
● Bilingual in Mandarin and English is preferred.
● Strong knowledge of electrical control systems.
● Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
● Ability to work flexible hours and be on call for emergency repairs.
● Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
● Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Physical Requirements:
● This job may require standing or walking for extended periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive motions.

Working Conditions:
● This job is performed in a production environment that may have exposure to heat, noise, and other environmental factors associated with food production.
● The position will work in a commercial kitchen environment and will be required to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Compensation:
The pay range for this job is between $70,000 and $80,000 per year. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) the responsibilities of the job, your education, skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
