Honeybee Robotics is looking for a Mechanical Engineer IV to design and build revolutionary motion control and actuation systems for the most thrilling aerospace applications!
Responsibilities:
- Execute high reliability mechanical design and analysis for long life space applications.
- Design mechanical systems including bearings, gears, motors, and rotating mechanisms.
- Derive system requirements from client specifications for engineering and/or qualification units and oversee build of these units.
- Generate design documentation and vendor specifications.
- Support assembly and test including environmental testing, shock, vibration and thermal.
- Motion Control for spacecraft actuation, including planet modeling and control system development.
- Proactively identify roadblocks to technical progress and take steps to mitigate/avoid.
- Review test data and recommend changes to products and/or processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 6+ years of experience.
- Proficient with a variety of computer aided design & analysis.
- Excellent reporting and presentation skills.
- Previous aerospace industry experience is a plus.
- Electronics Packaging experience is a plus.
- History of leading and mentoring junior engineers.
Compensation and Benefits:

Salary is determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
