Wood is currently recruiting for a Measurement Technicians. The role of an Oilfield Measurement Technician is crucial to ensuring accurate measurement of oil and gas production, which is essential for the efficient operation of oilfields. Position
: Measurement Technician
Location: Tilden / Karnes City, TX; * *Candidates must be local, within a 50 mile radius. No per diem or relocation provided
Schedule: 5x2 Mon-Fri/10 hour days 7am-5pm - No Rotation

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain and repair measurement equipment such as flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature sensors, and other measuring devices used in oilfield production.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of measurement equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of readings.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems, and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions.
  • Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and replacement.
  • Conduct regular inspections of measurement equipment to identify and address potential issues before they result in downtime or production loss.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize risk of injury to self and others.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the production team to ensure efficient and effective operation of the oilfield.
Skills / Qualifications:
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Some employers may require a technical degree or certification in a relevant field.
  • Previous experience working in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Familiarity with various measurement devices and associated software systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in remote and challenging environments.
  • Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
