    Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)
    • Must be able to teach multiple math classes and an Advisory section
    • Must communicate and work cooperatively with students, staff, and parents to maintain a positive climate in the school
    • Must be skilled at teaching in a team atmosphere, including work on collaborative teacher teams.
    • Must be adept at building relationships and maintaining high academic and behavioral standards for all students.
    • Possess strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches her/his full potential.
    • Must be willing to communicate with all stakeholders on a regular basis.
    • Must be willing to make accommodations and to differentiate instruction based on students’ needs.
    • Must implement building-wide PBIS practices in support of building and district goals.
    • Must be willing to support and implement multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) for both academics and behavior.
    • Must be willing to integrate new technology-based strategies into the classroom.
    • Must attend and actively participate in all building and district professional development.
    • Good attendance and punctuality are necessary to insure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully.
    • Other duties as assigned by administration.

    • Ability to go up and down stairs on a regular basis
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

    • Experience with 4-block schedule and related strategies is desired
    • Willingness to accept supervisory duties that are conducive to a positive building environment
    • Understanding of the need for confidentiality with respect to student and parental rights and for conversations and hard copy information.
