We are looking for a Materials Supervisor to join our team in Newbern, TN. This role is a 3rd Shift position!
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Ensure team is actively involved in safety training and discussions to reduce opportunities for injury and property damage
- Lead and develop a team in goal setting and performance for the shipping department to support KPI
- Ensure all raw material movements throughout the plant are executed by team to ensure quality product is line-side to avoid delay on production assets
- Work through team members to optimize the inbound and outbound shipping processes and manage warehouse activities
- Coordinate efforts with other shifts, initiate and direct continuous improvement programs, and maintain a positive employee relations
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- Supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
- Willingness and ability to work 3rd Shift
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor’s degree in management or related field
- Experience leading an department audit
- Experience in a supply chain/logistics function
- ERP systems
