Job description

  • Prepare materials for staging to the assembly lines in accordance to company requirements.
  • Ensure materials are staged to the assembly lines in the correct order, correct locations and at the correct times.
  • Report defective materials to the proper personnel. Post information into computer system.
  • Move material between storage locations and including shipping and receiving docks.
  • Assign and direct team member work, and support the development and maintenance of team competence
  • Assist team members with identifying and resolving physical and systematic issues.
  • Conduct team meetings and continuous improvement projects.
  • Track and report daily KPI numbers to the supervisor.
  • Utilize radio frequency (RF) scanning equipment as required to complete material moves and conduct inventory cycle counts as required.
  • Position and align components for assembly, manually or using hoists
  • Responsible for following ERP procedures.
  • Responsible for following the procedures in the company's quality system.
  • Maintain inventory stock levels
  • Responsible for following safety and environmental procedures. Procedures can be found on our company intranet
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
  • Promotes a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct
  • Performs special projects as required

Qualifications:

Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years’ experience shipping and receiving in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have Valid Driver’s License and a good driving record
  • Ability to operate a forklift, overhead crane and other various equipment
  • Ability to multi-task while working with time sensitive processes
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with other employees
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills
  • Basic PC knowledge and the ability to efficiently operate computer terminals and RF scanning devices
  • Ability to obtain appropriate power vehicle license (Flatbed, Hi-Lo, & Mule) when necessary

  • Air guns, torque equipment, special tools, wrenches etc.
  • Material handling equipment; including fork trucks (electric, propane & diesel), tuggers, scissor lifts, flatbeds, shipping trailers, dock levelers, scales, reach trucks, electric hoists, etc.
